Setting Up TP-Link Router With Nepal Telecom ADSL!

Follow the simple 6 steps below and you will save the ADSL router settings for NTC.

Step 1 : Open this link "http://192.168.1.1" from your Laptop or PC browser.

Pop-up window will appear asking you a username & password !


Type your Username & Password then press "Enter".  ( Default Username & Password is "admin" ,Type same in the both field)


Step 2: After loading TP-link homepage..


Next click "Quick Setup"


Next "Run Wizard"



Step 3: Choose your time zone


Select closest Indian Time Zone ie: (GMT+05:30) Chennai,Kolkata, Mumbai,New  Delhi.

( TP-Link hasn’t yet provided the time zone for Nepal which is GMT+05:45.)


And click Next..


Step 4: Select  ISP Connection Type for NTC ADSL

Choose "PPPoE/PPPoA" and click next

Step 5: PPPoE/PPPoA Configuration for NTC ADSL


Type below values respectively..


Username: adsl2356xxxx Password: adsl2356xxxx

Type your Username & Password provided by the Nepal  Telecom and press "Enter".  ( ie: adsl2356xxxx, type the same in both field )


VPI: 8
VCI: 81
Connection Type: PPPoE LLC


And click Next..


Step 6: WLAN Configuration for TP-Link


Apply below values..


Access point: Activated
SSID: Name your WIFI network
Broadcast SSID: Yes
Authentication Type: WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK
Encryption: TKIP/AES
Pre-shared Key: Type your wifi password



Then Click Next (This will take some times..) ...And you are done!
